We are hiring great people to join our small, close-knit, talented team at 70 North Kitchen & Market. 

70 North serves dinner 3 nights a week and brunch on Sunday.  The food is prepared from scratch, and the bar carries a unique selection of wines, craft beers, & cocktails.  â€‹70 North provides elevated service & food in a comfortable setting.  Staff are expected to be knowledgeable about the beverages & food offerings as well as proper service protocols.

Our team members are friendly, thoughtful, hardworking, detailed, ambitious, multi-skilled fun.  They strive for a high standard of execution, service, & consistency.   They enjoy seeing their customers & being a part of their day.  They also enjoy learning new skills, collaborating, experiencing food & technique, & growing in their careers.

Duties & Responsibilities may include, depending on position:

  • Provide excellent customer service in a clean & welcoming environment

  • Greet guests, answer questions, engage in appropriate conversation

  • Communicate with BOH & management

  • Discuss the menu with customers & answer questions as needed

  • Prepare drinks according to in-house recipes & a high degree of execution

  • Encourage the sale of items & events, throughout the 70N brand

  • Track inventory & communicate needs to management

  • Clean & maintain equipment; assess repair needs

  • Maintain organized, neat, & clean stations

  • Follow proper safety & sanitation procedures

  • Follow all liquor service laws & procedures

  • Expand knowledge and participate in staff education opportunities

Qualifications

  • Servers & Bartenders must be at least 18 years old because of equipment used & alcohol served

  • Weekend & evening availability

  • Ability to actively listen & communicate professionally with the public

  • Basic math & technology skills

  • Keen awareness of customer service

  • Attention to detail & ability to notice needs

  • Aptitude for learning on-the-job 

  • Interest & ability to continually learn about new menu items or ingredients

  • Previous experience preferred, but not required

  • Experience with Toast POS a plus
